The Building Department

Building Permit and Inspection services for the City of West Park are provided by CAP Government, Inc. For over 30 years, local agencies have relied on CAP’s expertise and history of delivering customer-centric building department solutions. CAP’s customized contracting methods range from full to expedited service as well as supplemental staffing on an as-needed basis.

Building Department Office Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
Cut off time for inspection request is 3:00 pm for the next day.

No cash is accepted. Please make check or money order payable to City of West Park in the amount indicated. Please bring or mail payment to:

Homes 10 Years or Older

The City of West Park is not likely to have records (blue prints, etc.) to satisfy public records requests for residents who live in structures built more than 10 years ago. According to the General Records Schedule GS1-SL item #252 for State and Local Government Agencies, the Building Department of the City of West Park does not need to keep on record Residential Plans for more than 10 years after issuance of certificate of occupancy.

PERMIT PROCESS:

STEP 1: Building Permit Applications, Permit Checklist and Other Forms
All building permit application packages must include the Broward County Uniform Building Permit Application* and a Notice of Commencement* as well as the applicable forms needed for specific permit types (links provided below). Select and download the Broward County Uniform Permit Application, Notice of Commencement and other forms needed for your application.

STEP 2: Permit Application Requirements
In addition to the completed permit applications, below you will find additional information and documents that may be required for your permit type please see the checklists for each permit.

STEP 3: Online Submittal of Building Permit Application Package
You will need to register and create an account to gain access to the Online Building Permit Portal. Completing your application package and submitting it on-line is easy and familiar. ePermits OneStop Participating Cities

Save time and avoid the lines, traffic and paper trail with the new one-stop ePermits process. The City of West Park and Broward County have teamed up to launch ePermits, a centralized website that allows customers to submit their application and have their plans reviewed online for permits, licenses and approvals.
